About Amanda Imani

Amanda Imani has always been fascinated by music ever since she was young. She is intrigued by artists who endear positive impressions with their audiences and listeners.  Amanda believes sharing of life experiences, hopes, and imagination through song and music creates special bonds, breathes life into cultures and engages the spirit of humanity. Such is her perspective about her songs.

Amanda is blessed with a melodious yet husky voice and supermodel looks.  Her warm persona, talent, and versatility add vigor to stage. Her performances are impactful. There are repertoires with her on piano or guitar which truly makes her a gem.  Amanda Imani is tipped to be the next sensation, all at the coming of her tender age of 18 in December 2009.

The completed pop self titled debut album; AMANDA IMANI consists of seven (7) Bahasa Malaysia tracks, produced by Ajai.  Amanda co-wrote the lyrics for two (2) of the songs with her producer; “Kita Sama Sahaja” and “Jatuh Cinta Kasih” respectively. She penned the full lyrics for one (1) song “Terima Kasih”.

For her first Bahasa Malaysia and English singles below, Amanda has breathtaking music videos to accompany the singles. In “Selamilah Cinta” Amanda starred with hot and hunky Indonesian heartthrob Samuel Rizal.  In “I’m Free (Yeah)”, prolific composer Ajai co-starred as his cameo in one of the scenes.  The two music videos are bonus packaged in her album. One feather in her cap is Amanda’s “Kita Sama Sahaja”; being the theme song for Astro Ria tele-movie,“Cinta Itu Buta” and its accompanying music video was featured regularly on the TV channel,  ahead of  the release of her debut album.

For inspiration, Amanda now turns to idol Taylor Swift, whom she considers an artist who is able to stay true to herself and writes her own music ever since she was little. Besides Swift, Amanda adores Michelle Branch for her heart of meaningful lyrics and talent in playing multiple musical instruments. Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, and Joss Stones always remain as her all time best female idols. With admirable qualities alike her music idols, Amanda is comfortable in her own skin and has much to offer demonstrating her individuality. Closer to home, Malaysian legends; namely Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Sudirman are her most respected multi-talented icons in entertainment.

Most recent is the release of Amanda Imani’s second Bahasa Malaysia single “Cinta Seluas Angkasa”; now making its way in air time, whilst “I’m Free (Yeah)” and “Selamilah Cinta” sustains its fair bit of fans.  The album balances a fresh pop-folk genre with hints of soul infused delicately with her toned vocals. AMANDA IMANI is expected to hit stores in November 2009.
