Blessed with an angelic voice and supermodel looks, Amanda Imani is tipped to be the country’s next singing sensation. Now 17, Amanda was discovered last year by producer Ajai, who was hooked by her voice and invited her to do a demo in his studio. This teen fusion queen has come a long way since she started singing Disney tunes, before taking singing seriously at the age of 12.
The Sekolah Sri KDU, Kota Damansara, student is now looking forward to her debut album that will be out next month.”I can’t believe that my life-long dream of recording an album is becoming a reality. I am so excited,” she said after a performance at the Borneo Rainforest in Bandar Sunway last week.
“I have put my heart and soul into this album and I am sure that anybody who listens to it will hear that.” The pop-fusion album is 90 per cent complete and is dual language, with seven Malay and five English songs. Amanda wrote the lyrics for the English tracks.
For inspiration, Amanda turns to former teen idol Christina Aguilera, whom she considers a versatile singer who knows how to reinvent herself for her fans. Besides Aguilera, Amanda also adores Alicia Keys for her voice and meaningful lyrics.Being a high-school student while pursuing a singing career can be tough, says Amanda. “At first, I had difficulties in balancing school and work.”
“I used to spend almost five hours a day in the studio after school. That took its toll on me but as time progressed, I have managed to balance this with school work,” she added.

What facebook games are addicting, and long? in facebook, what addicting games are there, not like crazy taxi, or bowling buddies or glamour parking that you can only play once, i mean like MobWars/MafiaWars, and farmville :S (i know, but its a good example), or games that you have to build your way up. any ideas?
